Wow!!!, special thanks to Interswitch Group , Cassiel Obaedo (respect) and the entire team. We had a great time today with Cassiel Obaedo , where we dive into this topic " How Do I Build Trust & Alignment as Product Manager?". The key highlights are: As a Product Manager; 1. Know the Product - No one should be able to explain the Product more than yourself. 2. Know your customers - this will help you identify their unique pain point and serve them better. 3. Know the Data, market, industry, revenue, volume and value - everything will enable you position your product better. 4. Know the company strategy/Business model - this will enable you align the goals and product properly. 5. Listen to understand - learn to give everyone audience, listen to understand their pains, concerns, provide quality solutions options and maintain an open mind always 6. Show Commitment - Show commitment to the organization and to the success of your products, keep in mind that the difference between good and great product managers is the extra mile effort put in. Note: As a Product Manager, learn to ask an open ended question to draw insight or validates an opinion. e.g., Should we paint this house black or White?. But rather ask this way, What color should we paint this house?. This will enable everyone opinion being considered with reasons to validate the task ahead. Remember to give credit to whom credit is due to openly, seek other departments opinion, don't do it all alone. How was your latest product launch vs that first meeting to define the requirements. It is perfectly ok to have a different product at the end because the adjustememts done benefit the consumers. But it is not ok because the team lacked the competencies or the resources. What do you think ?

My friend (and teammate) James Buac shared this with our Product team last week. Its a great reminder of what makes an empowered product team. We hear from customers and stakeholders about features day in and day out and its easy to get distracted by a long list of product requests. It's up to us to always go back to the customer, the problem we're trying to solve, and the outcome we're trying to achieve. Starting there allows for more creativity and innovation on how to deliver value to your customers. It also aligns the entire team on what success looks like, ensuring that celebration doesn't happen with putting a feature into production, but when the objective is achieved for the customer. https://lnkd.in/efmvh7Mb #product #empoweredproduct

As a fan, I am using Marty Cagan’s approach to future-proof AW Rostamani Group through AWRX: 🧩 PEOPLE: Hire a centralized product team to build technology platforms and product discovery machines. Then, hire product managers in business verticals and form independent fusion teams. 🧩 PROCESS: Establish the product management practice and innovation incubation processes. 🧩 PRODUCT: Find the right pocket in the organization and build your first success story. We have built one with SUBSCRIBE ME. Then, the rest will follow. 🧩 CULTURE: Spend a disproportionate amount of time on evangelization and new routine building at the top, bottom, and middle.
