Today, we stand together to raise awareness on a crucial issue: Fentanyl. As we observe Fentanyl Awareness Day, it's imperative to shed light on the profound impact of this synthetic opioid on communities worldwide. Fentanyl, a potent and often lethal drug, has been a driving force behind the opioid crisis, claiming far too many lives and devastating families. Educating ourselves and others about the dangers of Fentanyl is paramount in combating its widespread misuse. From healthcare professionals to law enforcement, from educators to policymakers, we all play a vital role in addressing this crisis head-on. Let's use this day not only to spread awareness but also to advocate for prevention, treatment, and support for those affected by Fentanyl addiction. Together, through education, compassion, and action, we can make a difference and save lives. If you or a co-worker is struggling with Opioid Use Disorder please reach out to Addiction Recovery Services today by calling the admissions line at 978-228-5853. We offer both in-person and telehealth groups with daytime (10am-1pm) and evening (4pm-7pm) tracks available. ARS is located on the Seacoast of New Hampshire and provide a compassionate setting for those struggling. #inspiringchangebyempoweringpeople #FentanylAwarenessDay #EndTheOpioidCrisis #PreventionAndEducation #CommunitySupport #SavingLives

😠 Missouri Lawmakers Not Using Opioid Settlement Funds for Proven Psychedelic Therapies I've seen how Iboga works with addiction firsthand. There are Ibogaine clinics that work with addiction. But Missouri lawmakers don't seem interested in an addiction therapy that works. Missouri lawmakers decided to pull $10 million earmarked for psilocybin research from the state budget. This decision came after a back-and-forth game where the initial proposal was to fund ibogaine research, which was then switched to psilocybin, and finally, stripped away entirely. The proposal initially aimed to utilize opioid settlement money for exploring the therapeutic potential of psilocybin as a treatment for opioid use disorder. However, the Senate Appropriations Committee decided to remove this allocation, leaving no funding for psychedelic research in the budget. Interestingly, there is still separate legislation moving through the Missouri House and Senate that could legalize medical psilocybin for military veterans and support future research. Today, I take a moment to remember those we’ve lost, those bravely battling their addictions, and the dedicated individuals supporting them in this fight. Drug overdose is the leading cause of accidental death in the United States, with opioid addiction fueling this epidemic. Americans are now more likely to die from an opioid overdose than from a car accident or a gunshot. Black Balloon Day aims to raise awareness about the critical need to support those struggling with substance use disorder and their loved ones. This epidemic affects us all, both directly and indirectly, presenting us with the opportunity to support one another. If you find yourself needing help, or someone you know, please contact 988 for assistance: 988lifeline.org For more information about Substance Use Disorder and the Overdose Epidemic: overdoselifeline.org #BlackBallonDay #OpioidEpidemic #RememberingTheLost #FightingAddiction #SupportAndHealing #AddictionAwareness #BattleAgainstAddiction #UnityInRecovery #StrengthInSupport #HopeAndHealing #TogetherWeFight #RecoveryJourney
