At Addiction Recovery Services we will help build your recovery community because we understand as you navigate the journey of recovery from Substance Use Disorder (SUD), one aspect stands out as an invaluable pillar of support: community. 🤝 **Connection & Understanding**: In the realm of recovery, the power of community lies in its ability to foster connection and understanding. Sharing experiences, struggles, and triumphs with others who have walked similar paths can instill a sense of belonging and reduce feelings of isolation. 🌱 **Nurturing Growth & Healing**: Communities offer a nurturing environment where individuals can grow and heal together. Through mutual encouragement, empathy, and accountability, community members empower one another to stay committed to their recovery goals and overcome obstacles along the way. 🤗 **Non-Judgmental Support**: Within a supportive community, individuals feel accepted and understood without judgment. This non-judgmental environment allows individuals to be vulnerable, seek help when needed, and celebrate progress without fear of stigma or shame. 💬 **Shared Wisdom & Resources**: Community members bring a wealth of diverse experiences and insights to the table. By sharing wisdom, strategies, and resources, individuals in recovery can learn from each other and gain valuable tools to navigate challenges and maintain sobriety. 🌈 **Building Hope & Resilience**: Community serves as a beacon of hope and resilience, reminding individuals that they are not alone in their journey and that recovery is possible. By witnessing the successes of others and offering support during setbacks, community members inspire hope and strengthen each other's resolve to persevere. In essence, community is not just a supplementary component of recovery—it is an essential lifeline that can make the difference between setback and success. Let's continue to cultivate communities of compassion, understanding, and support, where every individual in recovery feels seen, heard, and empowered to thrive. Together, we can build a brighter future, one step at a time. We offer in-person groups with both Daytime and Evening Tracks. Why You, The Family, Hold the Key to Your Loved One’s Agreement to Begin Their Journey to Life Beyond Addiction
Addiction recovery is not just a challenge for the individual struggling with 💊 use; it affects the entire family. When a family comes together with a unified approach to support, it can transform the recovery process into a more manageable and hopeful journey. Why Family Unity Matters? 🤝 Shared Strength: 💪 When families stand together, their collective strength provides a strong support system for the person in recovery. This unity helps in coping with the ups and downs of the recovery journey, making each step forward more achievable. Emotional Safety: 🛡️ A united family offers emotional safety, where the individual feels valued and understood. This emotional support reduces feelings of isolation and helps the person in recovery stay motivated. Consistent Encouragement: 🌟 All family members' support ensures encouragement doesn’t waver. It keeps the individual focused on their recovery goals and fosters a positive environment for change. Effective Communication: 🗣️ When families work together, they can communicate more effectively about their needs and expectations. This clear communication helps set boundaries and find solutions that work for everyone. Holistic Healing: 🧠 Recovery is a process that involves emotional, psychological, and sometimes physical healing. A unified family can address these aspects more comprehensively, contributing to a more balanced recovery experience. Reduced Stigma: 🚫 When the family openly supports the recovery process, it helps reduce the stigma associated with addiction. This openness can lead to greater acceptance and a more supportive environment. By coming together with a shared commitment to support and understanding, families make the recovery journey less overwhelming and more hopeful. This unity not only aids the individual in their recovery but also strengthens the family bond, creating a healthier and more resilient family unit. ❤️🏡 #familyrecovery #addictionawareness #addictionrecovery

Addiction recovery is not a journey that should be traveled alone. At 7 Summit Pathways, we recognize support of family can make a significant difference in the path to recovery. Here’s why family support is so crucial: 🔹 Emotional Stability: Families provide the emotional backing that can help individuals cope with the stress and challenges of recovery. 🔹 Motivation and Encouragement: Knowing that loved ones are rooting for their success can motivate individuals to stay committed to their recovery goals. 🔹Creating a Supportive Environment: A stable, understanding, and supportive home environment is key to fostering long-term recovery. 🔹 Reducing Relapse Rates: Strong family support has been linked to lower relapse rates, providing a safety net when individuals face temptation or setbacks. 🔹 Promoting Healthy Communication: Open and honest communication within the family can address underlying issues and improve relationships, which are often strained by addiction. 🔹 Shared Responsibility: Recovery can be overwhelming, but with family support, the burden is shared, making it more manageable. Families can be the bedrock of strength and hope, offering the love and encouragement needed to overcome addiction. Every Thursday, we offer Family Group, where families of those in our care can get additional support and education around addiction. #AddictionRecovery #FamilySupport #MentalHealth #SubstanceUseDisorder #RecoveryJourney #Hope #TogetherWeRecover https://lnkd.in/eWd66Tzu

🌟 Reflecting on Compassion in Addiction Treatment 🌟 Last night's encounter with a gentleman in need sparked profound reflections on the challenges within addiction treatment. As I drove home, thoughts of Black Balloon Day and the lives lost in 2023 to overdose lingered in my mind. In the parking lot, I met a man living without a permanent home. His story, a poignant reminder of the struggles in the field of substance use disorders, prompted me to reconsider our treatment practices. Too often, rigid programs overshadow individual needs, leaving clients disillusioned. Substance use treatment should prioritize holistic well-being, addressing the root causes rather than imposing arbitrary rules. This encounter made me question our practices and advocate for continuous improvement. Let's collectively reassess our approaches, listen to our clients, and ensure comprehensive, accessible, and holistic care for those battling addiction. To those we've lost, may our commitment to improvement honor your memory. If you're a exec/business/retired professional and you're living with someone's addiction that's holding you back personally and/or professionally, then I can help. I work with partners, mums, dads, siblings, children and friends who are feeling lost and alone in their journey who are usually experiencing the following... 👉 Masking the issue because of societal stigma and therefore, feeling shame. 👉Hiding the seriousness of the issue from work, because that's their purpose, but living incongruently with their own values. 👉Feeling like they've tried everything, but nothing's working. 👉Carrying guilt because they somehow feel responsible or they've used drink and drugs with them so it's thrown back in their face. 👉Struggling to accept the messages from 12 steps that addiction is a disease that their person will have forever and they have no control over it. 👉Throwing money at all sorts of attempts to help them into their recovery. 👉Not getting their own needs met in their relationship, because it's all about their person. 👉Panicking about the impact on kids. Trying to hide it from them but not sure whether that's the right thing to do. 👉Maybe they're been to rehab or for treatment, but they're left high and dry not knowing how to navigate recovery. 👉Trying to get them to change. 👉Thinking they have to wait for another 'rock-bottom' to change things. 👉Or wondering WTF 'tough-love' entails, so thinking it's either throw them out or put up with it. Truth💣 None of this changes anything. I help my clients learn evidence-based strategies to cope, to live a happier and more peaceful life, to improve their relationships and to motivate their loved one to get the help they need and get into recovery. Want this? It's £1995 for my 12 week programme, Permission Granted, Reclaim Your Life From a Loved One's Addiction. I ask you to invest three months to change your life and I do this time and time again with my clients. Addiction recovery can be filled with many ups and downs. This is because becoming sober is just the beginning of your sobriety journey. While you’ll be leading a healthier, happier life, throughout your recovery journey you’ll still be faced with old triggers that run the risk of potentially jeopardizing your sobriety. In fact, around 50% of recovering addicts will relapse after receiving substance use disorder treatment. Fortunately, there are a variety of resources, like addiction support groups, that offer recovering addicts support and motivation to guide them along their recovery journey. https://lnkd.in/gkK7Dsh4
