I strongly disagree, it is definitely not their purpose, yes, legal systems are too slow in their change and reflect too much past, however, they are mostly also systematically robust and designed in a changeable/adaptable manner and this is what is currently happening with the ICJ and ICC judgements. The real problem is to have global backing for their modernization in times of polarization and humanity drifting apart. The world needs fresh ideas and a new type of politics and politicians, representing mankind as a whole and each of us as equals instead of fragmented political interests! We have to grow together in order to urgently address the issues that impact all of us like conflict, climate change, inequality and forced migration together.
