I am an Advisor, a Brand Builder, a Marketer, a Generator of Revenue, a Producer of Profits, and a Provoker of Thoughts. I am an Enabler of Big Ideas and Ideal Experiences. (I'm also a massive cult brand enthusiast!)
I know nothing about computers, yet for many years Intel’s superior product, brilliant marketing strategies and advertising campaigns made me believe that I’d be foolish to buy any computer or laptop that didn’t have “Intel Inside”. They made something confusing and invisible to me both tangible and important. Their brand leaders were masterful, but those days are over. Intel’s stock is down two-thirds from its high just a few years ago, and the company has lost much of the mojo that made them a Silicon Valley darling for so long. They’ve laid off nearly 20,000 people, and are displaying all the behaviors of a brand in severe distress. They- like so many other category leaders- are rapidly drifting into irrelevance, and their public decline should serve as a stark wake up call to brand leaders within other incumbents. Few companies stay great for long. Brand leaders must be relentless, and courageous, and never take their size or success for granted. Staying on top is even harder than climbing to the top of your category. Unfortuanltey, Intel’s story is not unique. If you’re not continuing to be bold, hungry, and customer-centric, your best days may be behind you and you don’t realize it yet.

Excellent interview by Chandrika Jain, Marketing Director of Lenovo India. We need more such tech stalwarts (not sure if she would approve of such a heavy title, going by her interview!)like her to come on to the center stage. We need more representation of women leaders at such platforms, who can provide a refreshing perspective to tech as they see it. While the interviewer asked her for one piece of advice that she would like to give to aspiring marketers, she gave such a humble down-to-earth response - "just learn away". As simple as that. If you come with an attitude thinking you know it all, you won't make it. You don't become a CMO of a top #tech firm any other way. You are always a student of marketing, even when others think you are a master. Also, how many of us ever knew Lenovo computers power Ducati. Great stuff! #AI, #ML, #Performancemarketing #B2B, #B2C, #IoT are things she spoke about. It's also apparent that these busy CMOs read as much as possible to gain ideas and insights on the world around them. #QuantumMarketing was the book Chandrika referred to. Might be an interesting read for marketers. ET BrandEquity #CMO #advertising #technology #innovation Found the link to it: Quantum Marketing: Mastering the New Marketing Mindset for Tomorrow's Consumers https://amzn.in/d/azxw1qy
What makes CMOs strong contenders for the office of the CEO? "From being left brain to a healthy mix of left and right," responds Chandrika Jain, Marketing Director, Lenovo India. In conversation with Anirban Roy Choudhury, Assistant Editor, ET Brand Equity, she speaks about the paradigm shift in marketing and the role that tech is playing in simplifying the job of a marketer extensively driven by data. Here is the final episode of 'Conversion Conundrums' Season 1, brought to you by Economic Times Brand Equity. Listen in. Stay tuned for Season 2. #ETBrandEquity #ConversionConundrums #Marketing #Tech #Technology Times Internet | Amit Kumar Gupta | Sumit Sethi | Yash Shah | Md Shahbaz Khan ★ | Keshav Kumar | Satrajit Sen

Intel Corporation, the US-based semiconductor leader, has appointed Santhosh Viswanathan as the Managing Director (MD) for its India region. With over two decades of experience at Intel, Viswanathan assumed his role as Vice President and Managing Director in July 2022. Now, he will lead Intel's operations in India as a separate region within the company's global structure. In a strategic move earlier this year, Intel designated India as a distinct region within its Sales, Marketing, and Communications Group (SMG) to better cater to the country's rapid growth and burgeoning business prospects. This shift enables Intel to deepen its engagement with the local market and harness its robust engineering presence in India. Santhosh Viswanathan brings a wealth of experience and educational background to his new role, holding degrees in industrial engineering and management, as well as an MBA. His extensive tenure at Intel and profound market understanding are expected to drive growth and enhance customer relationships in India. Reflecting on his appointment, Viswanathan highlighted the significance of the revamped regional focus. "By establishing a dedicated region, we empower our teams, including our talented engineering workforce in India, to collaborate closely with our customers," he remarked. He aims to leverage his expertise to deliver value and prioritize customer needs in the Indian market. In addition to Viswanathan's appointment, Intel has named Hans Chuang as the General Manager (GM) of SMG Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ). Based in Taiwan, Chuang holds a degree in electrical engineering and an MBA. His role entails spearheading revenue growth, identifying new opportunities, and bolstering relationships with customers and partners across the APJ region. “Intel is undergoing transformation, and I'm thrilled to lead the company's growth and innovation in APJ, one of the most diverse and rapidly expanding regions for Intel," said Chuang. He emphasized the importance of leveraging partnerships and maintaining a commitment to building an open ecosystem to ensure long-term success in the APJ region. #intel #leadershipchanges #responsibilities #india #sales #marketing #communications #trannsformation #startegicmove #allboutcorps

We interrupt your normal #CES2024 programming to inform you that Intel Corporation has a new global channel chief: Trevor Vickers! He is taking over from John Kalvin, who has been appointed to lead Intel's new Go To Market Operations group. The call was made by Chief Commercial Officer Christoph Schell. I'll have more to share on this big exec switch-up soon, but in the meantime, here's my initial story. #intel #intelpartners #channelpartners #intelpartneralliance
After three years of leading Intel Corporation’s global partner organization, John Kalvin is moving into a new sales and marketing leadership role while handing the channel chief baton to another fellow company veteran: Trevor Vickers. The change in channel leadership comes at a critical time for the chipmaker: It’s in the middle of executing on Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger’s ambitious, four-year comeback plan to leapfrog Asian foundry rivals in manufacturing capability. At the same time, Intel is fighting to keep its dominance in the PC and server markets on top of trying to challenge Nvidia in the AI computing space alongside other competitors. Dylan Martin has the details on what you need to know about the news: #Intel #ITchannel #AIcomputing

I have been in the marketing industry since 2021 and I have learnt that Marketing is vital for any company..... why? well marketing is meant to put your work and products out there, it is meant to give you strategies to survive as you deal components of it such as research, you dig information of how the business can sustain itself, how to get intel, how to interest or seduce people into your business or product. but it is not only a 1 way street, it is a 2 way street, Marketing allows you to know or view what is the gap, it lets you know what is in demand, what people want and need. This makes Communication methods vital, knowing how and what to use when it comes to communicating with your target market to get to know them better and showing them that they matter, is a strategy of marketing that takes products and companies to another level as trust and a bond is created at this stage. I am learning a lot in my career right now as I work for Hollywoodbets and also doing my diploma in Public Relations. I couldn't have chosen a better course to study. #Marketing #MoreIntel #Hollywood #WeAreMoving
