Sharing this inspiring article by my friends who are living their dream.
Coronado is in SAIL Magazine! My very intelligent and beautiful first mate, at sea and in life, just had her first article published in SAIL magazine, and I couldn’t be more proud. Anna has always been a great writer, but in the past, her talents were used in writing corporate communications for CEOs and lawyers. Now that she is free to write whatever she wants, we can see her talent truly shine. I was moved to tears the first time I read this article. First, because we lived it, but most importantly, because of how she captured our trip's story. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I do. I look forward to seeing your talent shine, my love. —Capt’n John

"The most important thing of all is the date of rejoining the ship. You see, many of the seafarers are having vacation without income, they needed to have a fixed schedule with best estimated dates to join back ship so that they can have sufficient savings to have their own personal activities with families " Featuring Captain James Foong in our very first Q&A series, where he shares his insights on seafaring, the top challenges of being a seafarer, and its impact on well-being.👇 https://lnkd.in/dTTwNaxK #SeafarerChallenges #MaritimeWellBeing #CaptainInsights

Alfred from Arid Bilge Systems got the chance to sit down with Keith Privott of Albemarle Boats at the 2024 Miami International Boat Show. Keith says, "It’s kind of a no-brainer for us to put the system on the boat. The boats are becoming more and more refined. The systems are becoming more complicated. Everything’s become more refined, and the expectations now are that you open an engine room and you’re almost dazzled by how everything is just so clean and white and well appointed. So we’ve really gone down that route, particularly in the last ten years, to pay more attention to the level of fit and finish, even down in the bilges. And that’s how your system comes into play as far as what we offer. We have customers that really pride themselves on maintaining boats. The idea is to offer an experience where they don’t have to worry about replacing components or fixing. They can enjoy the boat instead of working on the boat." Should you fish offshore, you can literally go to almost any place in the world. How do you know which destination might be the best for you? This question, and the fact that there existed no good, unbiased, or comprehensive resource to answer it, is part of the foundation of this book. I’ve profiled more than 65 of the world’s best offshore destinations. Most profiles are informed by first-person interviews with captains and boat owners who live and fish in these places. These profiles include much more than just the fishing in the Azores, Panama (Coiba, the Pearl Islands, and Pinas Bay), Kona, South Africa, Bermuda, three spots in Texas, Massachusetts, Madeira, seven places in Australia, Southern California, the Baja, and many, many more. Oh yes, this isn't your typical top five lists, those are garbage. They are the province of idiots or magazine sales guys on deadline. This section, and this book, is the antithesis of that type of deal. Click here to read the full article: https://lnkd.in/g7CGtA6q #fishing #offshore #sportfishing
