Last week, CCC and CRA-Industry submitted a response to the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), U.S. Department of Commerce, regarding their Request for Comments on Ethical Guidelines for Research Using Pervasive Data. This collaborative effort, authored by an esteemed group of researchers and industry experts, tackled critical considerations for crafting ethical guidelines that protect individual privacy and promote responsible research. Strengthening these policies through community engagement, regular training, and technological advancements will be crucial for maintaining their effectiveness in the face of increasing data volumes.
