If you haven’t already, make it a habit to check in with your counselor once a month. Meeting regularly will establish a good rapport, keep you updated with admissions, and help you stay on top of deadlines. It’s also important for your counsel to know your interests and strengths. Your counsel is your school’s filter for scholarships and programs, so it’s important they know your interests and how to help you. Juniors meet with your counselor once a month so that you stay top of their mind. That way, they’ll contact you about scholarships and opportunities that fit you.
