No more back-breaking adjustments 😩 – now I can capture different shots effortlessly. 😃 💪 Last week, I shared my frustration with flimsy light stands that couldn't handle my camera gear. Today, I'm excited to share that I've upgraded to a sturdier stand that safely supports my expensive equipment, reducing the risk of any accidents. Working on campaigns with clients are some of my favorite projects. There’s a certain sense of urgency in the room, in rented spaces with talent on a timer, trying to create something that fits the vision of the story trying to be told. This particular project was in Los Angeles a few years ago. What I learned from this campaign taught me so much. - Always try to record the process. The same way coaches review games, you can look at the footage to see what you could improve on. - Be nice. Everyone in that room, from clients, to talent, to rental space staff is there for one goal, to create something emotive. - Plan accordingly. At the time I was using a Nikon D7100 and SIGMA Corporation of America lens combo for my professional work. Knowing my tools meant I was prepared to be flexible even when using strobe lighting to capture my subjects. - Pre-Production is your friend. Living in Seattle at the time and getting flown in for this shoot meant a lot of pre-production to know what the space would look like, to know what tools to bring with me, to knowing what the shoot schedule would be like. Having all of this planned out made it an easier time getting the work done. This was a team effort.
