One of my favourite articles I've read in a while 💛 Its easy to confuse that discounting and promotional activations build loyalty, when instead they just incentivise customers to prefer your brand versus competitors ⚖ And you're lucky if your product quality and experience is so extraordinary that a converted customer sticks. But for commoditised products or even those where customer education is a challenge, building loyalty requires knowing your customer deeply and going above and beyond transactional strategies.
