Cititoy Builds US$ 60 Million Factory in Subang JAKARTA. Global toy manufacturer Cititoy via PT Kids Play Indonesia is preparing to build a new factory in the Subang Smartpolitan industrial area owned by PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk (SSIA). The groundbreaking ceremony for the factory construction project took place on Monday (9/12). Kids Play Indonesia will invest US$ 60 million to build a modern production facility covering an area of 10 hectares (ha). This new factory will produce various kinds of toys to meet the needs of the global market. "We are interested in Indonesia's competitive business climate and the strategic advantages offered by Subang Smartpolitan," said Ken Cheung, President Director of Kids Play Indonesia, Monday (9/12). This new factory will enable Kids Play Indonesia to meet growing global demand. Ken explained that the construction of the first phase of this factory is targeted to be completed and production can start in September 2025. The plan is that all products produced will be fully exported to international markets, so that they can contribute positively to national export performance. This export process will utilize the Patimban Port which will be integrated with Subang Smartpolitan via the Patimban Access Toll Road in early 2026. Progress has been made and Jakarta city will have a longer MRT track soon. Utilizing open data from WorldPop, OpenStreetMap, and Jakarta Satu, my research reveals significant findings that 1.011% demonstrate high population density, located in West and North Jakarta. The rapid growth of urban areas has unfortunately led to congestion that has an impact on daily life and results in significant economic losses. The city is facing a number of significant challenges, and it would be beneficial to consider a range of creative and forward-thinking solutions. It is thought that the financial loss due to traffic congestion may be in the region of IDR 100 trillion (Jabodetabek and Bandung). It would be beneficial to consider strategies that are not constrained by traditional boundaries in Bandung.
