Do you have any road trip plans this summer? While road trips are all about fun and exploration, they often leave us with a souvenir we would rather not keep—bug guts all over the front of the vehicle. Over time if left, those bug remnants can etch into your clear coat, leaving unsightly marks. Coming back from a road trip with a bug graveyard on your car? No worries! Contact me to book your vehicle in for our exterior package. Quick Tip: When you reach your destination, try to find a self-service carwash and use the pressure washer lance to spray off as many bugs as you can from the front of your vehicle.

You are a new boat owner backing your boat down the ramp towards the water. As a new power boat owner, you want to know how far should you back your boat trailer into water? I saw this information on https://lnkd.in/gwYxHkf7 and feel this information is helpful. You will want to back down the ramp until your vehicles back tires touch the water. Then, see if the stern of the boat is deep enough to start to float. If not, back down a little more until that happens. Finally, put the vehicle in park and set the parking brake. 🚤 #powerboats

“ Today's tip is about Slushy Takeoff and what's the best way to take off on muddy runways ? “ Sleet is wet, heavy, and usually thicker than a layer of snow. Most POH books don't address how to take off or land in significant snow or ice, much less slush, but there are tried-and-true tips for safely leaving the runway. You should use the soft field take-off technique, which may include the use of flaps. which keeps the nose wheel away from mud, water and snow. Remember that this method also causes you to nose up a little slower and earlier than normal, allowing you to move further down the runway to gain speed. This helps reduce mud drag during acceleration. If you don't have enough acceleration during takeoff, stop it. Then use another runway or wait until the runway snow is cleared. Also, to avoid the need to abort the tick-f, I reduce the usual first half of the band to ensure the tick-f to the first third. While slush slows you down, it also reduces traction and increases the risk of skidding if you brake. If in doubt about achieving the parameters of this tick-off while taxiing, taxi back to the ramp. Many pilots for winter pants !! 😅(Pants) remove the airplane wheel. This helps prevent snow and slush from getting inside the coating on the wheels and ruining them, as well as freezing the brakes. If you're flying a folding airplane, be aware that slush, snow, or ice can damage the wheel mechanism and lead to bigger landing problems. Make sure the wheel arms are clean before exiting the ramp and avoid taxiing in contaminated areas on the runway wherever possible. During the initial climb after taking off from the runway, lower the wheels a little more and apply the brakes to dry the accumulated moisture. If there is a greater concern that mud freezing on the wheel could interfere with its movement, whether the wheel is closed or closed, the wheels are down and onto a long clean runway to clear the mud from the wheels before you fly the rest of the flight.
