ICYMI CWA — A member of Norda Stelo — designed a rail car unloading system that integrates a tandem rotary railcar dumper capable of unloading rail cars in pairs to achieve an 8,000 tonnes/hour throughput. The spotting and movement of railcars through the receiving station is automated using indexing equipment capable of positioning and translating the railcars without the need to disconnect them or disrupt the setup of the string. The design of an innovative recirculating dust collection system allowed the railcar unloading rate to double while remaining within air emissions typical for approximately one half the throughput. #engineering #materialhandling #drybulk

Email from Falck Nutec, Sotra to Seat Innovation: "In May 2009 we took delivery of a new MSDC 12 Man Overboard Boat, produced by Mare Safety. This boat is used to train emergency personnel for MOB situations. The boat is used at high speeds in rough seas, conditions that require strong and comfortable seating for the crew. The boat is equipped with seats from Alu-Design from Kristiansand, Norway. These seats have shown themselves to be first-class quality; they are solidly built, absorb shocks well and have a good range of adjustment both for sitting height and chair rotation. These are new products for us, but the good feedback we have had from our instructors and students has made using Seat Innovation seats a very positive experience."
