While fiber optic cables can be installed in wide open spaces, more often than not, installers will need to connect cables in tight spots to make their systems work. This means potentially bending cords to fit in tiny spaces. When this happens, you run the risk of attenuating, or losing data, in the signal. This is known as a fiber cable’s bend radius and it’s crucial for ensuring optimal performance and longevity of the network infrastructure. When it's time to upgrade your network cabling system, there will be signs... If cables are deteriorating or broken, this is an obvious sign that they need replacing. However, if you find yourself spending a lot of money on maintenance and repairs, it might be more cost efficient to replace the whole system. Connection issues or poor network performance and failed tests and inspections are also signs of issues with your network cabling. So, is it time for an upgrade? Professor, Macquarie Law School and strata consultant. Author, 'Strata Title Property Rights: Private governance of multi-owned properties' (Routledge, 2017)
6moVery interesting Adrian. I think there are a lot of people (and lawyers) who don't understand that strata title is a freehold fee simple Torrens title just like the titles to non-strata properties. There is an assumption that somehow it is not quite the same level of ownership. I am absolutely shocked by the way some energy companies are essentially expropriating roof space of schemes in agreements with developers. The energy company puts solar panels on the roof, the development gets a green tick of approval from the council, but the OC gets none of the solar energy generated and they are not being paid for their roof space! Energy companies would not dare to do this to freestanding houses.
