Some of the timeframes in which the owners corporation is entitled to respond are only 10 days in length and under the relevant legislation, any objection must deal with certain specified matters in a very specific manner.

Very interesting Adrian. I think there are a lot of people (and lawyers) who don't understand that strata title is a freehold fee simple Torrens title just like the titles to non-strata properties. There is an assumption that somehow it is not quite the same level of ownership. I am absolutely shocked by the way some energy companies are essentially expropriating roof space of schemes in agreements with developers. The energy company puts solar panels on the roof, the development gets a green tick of approval from the council, but the OC gets none of the solar energy generated and they are not being paid for their roof space! Energy companies would not dare to do this to freestanding houses.
