This is not "just another practitioners gathering" for me. I get to facilitate a pre-conference workshop on "FacilitARTion - Art and Play as doors to strategic insight" :)) The word FacilitARTion was born after a co-facilitated business planning workshop, coined by a dear friend and colleague - painter, artist, business executive, leadership developer - Tihomir Cirkvencic, fellow believer in the power of art in helping teams and organisations excel. I fell in love with the word immediately, and I have big dreams for its future! But back to the Apr 3 workshop. What's that going to be about? If you know me, you know that I take Play seriously 🙃 Art and play are powerful catalysts for breakthrough ideas and meaningful insight. They can activate potential, ignite creativity and fuel our commitment in shaping the world anew. As any tool – they can be used effectively. Or not. This workshop offers a space for us as a community of learners and practitioners to dive deep through Art and Play, reflect on our practice and our relationship with creative, associative tools, sharpen our craft, level up our toolbox and explore who we are and who we can be as we shape tomorrow’s world of leadership and facilitation. Some of the questions we will explore: - How do we use Art and Play right now in our practice? - Is there a difference in using Art and Play in ice-breakers and team-building vs strategy development, strategy evaluation and decision making? - What are the limiting beliefs or miss-conceptions we might be holding towards Art and Play in facilitation? - What are the challenges we are facing in using Art and Play in facilitation – especially in facilitating strategic insight, business planning and change management? - What are the key pillars of success in translating creative insights into tangible business outcomes? - When should we NOT use Art and Play in facilitation? - How can Art and Play shape your future – your growth and your impact as a facilitator.
