Another amazing result for Taylor and Boyd at the Concrete Society NI Annual Awards Dinner.
The Paper Exchange Belfast won Project of the Year for its outstanding merit to the use of concrete. The project consisted of an 11 storey concrete frame, Grade A office development in Belfast City Centre.
Thanks to the The Concrete Society Northern Ireland Region for a great night.

The American Concrete Institute has published a new SmartBrief on non-metallic concrete reinforcement building materials, including the revolutionary GFRP rebar, which is destined to replace much of the corrosive steel rebar now in use.

Mundic Concrete
The equity value and resale potential of many, mainly pre-1950s, houses in Cornwall and Devon have been adversely affected by uncertainties about the nature of the concrete building material used in their original construction.
The RICS document specifies a reliable procedure for identifying Mundic concrete and classifying the material's condition. This classification assists professional advisors, homeowners, prospective purchasers and lending bodies in their risk assessments for individual properties.
The recommended petrographic analyses can be undertaken at Sandberg's Laboratories, which hold UKAS accreditation for the procedures referred to in the RICS guidelines.
