Advanced Decision Vectors (ADV) ’s Post

Dr. Lauro Fred Cavazos Jr. made history as the first Latino to serve in a cabinet post and was the first Hispanic and graduate of Texas Tech University to serve as its president. As a medical professor, he consulted the World Health Organization on national and international health issues. He was recognized for his outstanding leadership in education by then-President Ronald Reagan. Dr. Cavazos was born on Jan. 4, 1927 and passed away at the age of 95 on March 15, 2022. Let's celebrate his legacy during #HispanicHeritageMonth2023 and acknowledge the progress made by Latinos. #ADVHHM23 #LatinoProgress
