AGI is proud to share yet another successful finish at our Junior Lifeguard Building project in Newport Beach, California. ⭐ Project Overview: AGI was tasked with improving subsurface conditions for the new Junior Lifeguard Building. Using Rapid Impact Compaction (RIC), we densified the existing fill soils, increasing bearing capacity and reducing settlement to meet stringent standards. ⭐ Results: GEOCON WEST INC / GEOCON performed post-improvement Standard Penetration Tests (SPTs) to verify the soil achieved adequate compaction and achieved the minimum SPT values required at each test location. ⭐ Services Provided: Densification of Existing Fills Increased Bearing Capacity Reduced Settlement We extend our heartfelt thanks to our project partners: the City of Newport Beach who entrusted us with this important project; Telacu Construction Management, the general contractor, for their collaboration and support; and Geocon West, Inc., for their diligent geotechnical engineering and testing.
