Children and teens can also experience snoring, which may be a sign of sleep apnea. This can lead to restless nights, difficulty concentrating, and even affect their physical growth and development. Don’t overlook snoring in children—it could be impacting their health. Was it those multiple juice boxes from the birthday party, or is this a recurring event? 🤔 When adults suffer from sleep apnea, they usually experience daytime sleepiness. But when children suffer from sleep apnea, it looks very different. One symptom to watch out for is bed wetting. In fact, this is one of the top signs of sleep apnea in children. This is attributed to the chemical changes that happen in the body, especially the brain, as a result of sleep apnea. Does your child struggle with bed wetting, and also has other symptoms of sleep apnea? It might be time to reach out for help! DM me if you want more information on how to start the evaluation process! #drkristinawolf #childhealth
