Ofisly is now Dibsido! 🙌 For a while now, we've been wondering if it’s time for a brand refresh. Over the years, we’ve come a long way—perfecting our services, gaining investors, and developing a great and truly useful app that simplifies daily life for companies in hybrid mode. And with that, we felt our branding needed a little glow-up, too. Sounds like a piece of cake, right? 🍰 Well, it wasn’t. Anyone who has been through a rebranding process probably knows this... and can sympathize. 😅 We really wanted to distinguish ourselves from the competition, which meant no references to staples, pens, meetings, cubicles, or copy machines. After all, we felt we became more than just another office tool. We brainstormed dozens of different ideas, and finally, we came up with Dibsido—a name inspired by the word “Dibs!”, which is used in English-speaking countries when you want to claim the last slice of pizza (or your favorite hot desk 👀). Confession: I'm obsessed with office supplies. As a child, back-to-school shopping was my happy place. Imagine my excitement at a larger firm, with a full room dedicated to rainbow folders, pens, highlighters and endless supplies. When I transitioned to my own smaller office, I seriously missed having instant access to that supply haven. Starting my own space meant curating what truly matters. I've become intentional, selecting items that ignite joy and boost productivity. There's a unique magic when your workspace mirrors your personality. Who else shares this quirky passion? What are your favourites? For me, its uni-ball vision pens (fine) and rainbow post-its.

👀 When I look at this photo, I see a blank slate. Tuesday this was my office. Since going to work for Firespring in January 2021, I’ve been working at least 3 days a week from home, in an office that was never intended to be a daily workspace. I’ve taken hundreds, if not thousands, of Zoom calls here and delivered countless webinars in this space. And it is time to give it the upgrade that it deserves. I’ve put it off for far too long. 💪 Why did I put it off, because this is a ton of work. It’s hard work! Moving furniture, pulling up carpet, paint, wallpaper, all of the things. It’s not going to be an easy transition. I’m going to be displaced from my regular space for an undetermined amount of time. And, I just didn’t want to deal….but as I entered a less-than-ideal space every day, I realized that it wasn’t going to get better and I needed to put in the effort and the work to create the space I wanted. 🤷♀️ Does this ever happen to you, you have tasks that you KNOW need to be done, but it takes a mind-shift to move you forward? Now that the project is underway, I’m giddy with anticipation! I can’t wait to see the finished product. And, I know that while it is daunting and exhausting, it will be so worth it in the end! Stay tuned for the new and improved space, I’ll share photos when it’s finished. 🍀 And, if you’re facing down a major task or project, good luck!
