A pinch me-moment during my career: I am starting the week with two new juniors on my team. This is going to elevate our team of three to five. Honestly, I didn't expect my Easter weekend to be full of work and interviews with candidates. My work life took a one-eighty in a week, and it couldn't care less that there's a four-day weekend that people use mainly for relaxation, deep cleaning their apartments, or replanting their plants. 🤷🏼♀️ So, I will get to those later! For now, I am excited to share a workplace with two newbies where they can be heard and seen. Our team does not have bullies; if there were, the system would spit them out. We are a small agency, so they must work hard but don't have to break themselves. Here, we all make mistakes; that's part of the deal. They can work from anywhere they like as long as their work is being done. It's OK if they're an extrovert or an introvert—we have both on our team (guess which one is me 🙃). I've spent so much time in toxic environments that it became a priority to do it differently when I get the chance to build mine.
