The strike that began today at East Coast and Gulf Coast ports could have significant repercussions on supply chains across the U.S. and beyond. 📦 With approximately 45,000 dockworkers halting operations at 36 major ports, this action is poised to disrupt about 43% of U.S. imports, impacting industries such as automotive, retail, and manufacturing. For Alaska and the West Coast, the increased strain could lead to rising costs, as more shipments are rerouted through their ports. This would add logistical challenges and fuel expenses, pushing up prices for goods nationwide.
