𝙇𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙔𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙞𝙣 1 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙧? Venus Aerospace are currently developing a new model of Hypersonic Jet, the 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗮𝘇𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝟰 which is expected to be able to fly across the Atlantic Ocean in just 1 hour! The impressive jet will travel at 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝟲 (or 6x the speed of sound) which for us regular people is around 4600 mph / 7400 kph. It will also fly much higher than regular turbo-jet engined planes at 𝟭𝟭𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘁, or around 3x higher than your regular flight. Now we all remember the fate of the concorde which flew it's last commercial flight in 2003 after nearly 30 years in operation. Expensive operational costs and "sky high" ticket prices ultimately proved concorde's downfall and now we settle for slower but far cheaper air travel. So is this just another gimmicky PR stunt? Or will it 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 and make our globe feel even smaller? #concorde #airtravel #rocketscience
