Fetal station refers to how far the baby’s presenting part has descended into the pelvis. You draw an imaginary line at the ischial spine and this is marked as station 0. If the baby’s head is at station zero it is considered “engaged” and is also called “lightening” and occurs when the presenting part is settled into the pelvis. The increments for -5 to +5 is how many centimeters above or below the ischial spine the presenting part is at. A +5 is when the presenting part is in the vaginal opening right before birth. #FOAMed #nurse #paramedic #ems #emt #medical #meded #medicaleducation #criticalcare #flightnurse #criticalcaremedicine #criticalcaretransport #nursing #emergencynursing #intensivecare #medicine #flightparamedic #ambulance #physician #physicianassistant #PANCE #PANCEprep #nremt #fetalstation #OBGYN

Possible ECG buddy reference card? Here is the down and dirty for heart blocks! It’s all in the PRI. If the PRI is constant with no polyuria (extra P…. Waves) it’s a first degree (if the PRI is prolonged). If there is polyuria with a constant PRI it is a 2nd degree type 2. If the PRI is inconsistent with 1 dropped beat it’s a 2nd degree type 1 (longer longer drop). If the PRI is not consistent and there is polyuria, it’s a 3rd degree. #FOAMed #nurse #paramedic #ems #emt #medical #meded #medicaleducation #criticalcare #flightnurse #criticalcaremedicine #criticalcaretransport #nursing #emergencynursing #intensivecare #medicine #flightparamedic #ambulance #physician #physicianassistant #PANCE #PANCEprep #nremt #heartblock #ecg #ekg #cardiology

what is the difference between Arteries and Vein ?? Veins and arteries are the two types of blood vessels in a closed circulatory system. The main function of blood vessels is to carry blood throughout the body. But, arteries and veins differ from their structure and function. #biomedicalengineering #bioengineering #knowledgesharing #educateyourself #medicaleducation #nursesonlinkedin #nurses #doctors #uaehealthcare #medicalstudent #medicalstudents #medicalprofessionals #medicalprofessional #cardiology

💥Cardiac Tissue and Action Potentials 💥 Cellular depolarization occurs due to a rapid and brief voltage ⚡ shift, from negative to positive and back again, across the cellular membrane. The cellular voltage shift results in cardiac myocyte contraction, causing CONTRACTION of the atrial and ventricular myocardium. ⚡ Do you have any tricks for teaching new people the action potential? Why is this exam critical information? Here's a CHART link to help with that! 🫶 APP, Allied Health, and Device Specific pathways. Great post from @master_cardiology ⭕This device technology is distinguishable from current thrombectomy devices as it does not rely on inefficient clot fragmentation as most current devices do. Instead this system provides ‘en bloc’ thrombus removal with both mechanical traction and vacuum aspiration, essentially functioning as an atraumatic “endovascular Fogarty technique” with added vacuum aspiration ❗❗Arresting of blood flow allows for a more focused aspiration because blood is not getting in the way of aspirating the clot. Existing technologies aspirate a large amount of blood along with the clot, making them very inefficient . . . . . #cardiovascular #bloodclot #thrombosis #healthcare #foamed #nurse #studentnurse #medicalstudents #anatomyandphysiology #nursepractitioner
