Excited to share my latest project on traffic detection using YOLO! 🖥️📸 I recently developed a simple yet effective system for detecting playing cards utilizing the YOLO (You Only Look Once) algorithm. This project aims to accurately identify and classify playing cards in real-time, providing a fun and practical application of computer vision. Here are some highlights: Key Highlights: Real-Time Detection: Unlike traditional detection systems that repurpose classifiers to perform detection, YOLO frames object detection as a single regression problem, straight from image pixels to bounding box coordinates and class probabilities. This allows YOLO to process images in real-time, achieving impressive frame rates. High Accuracy: YOLO’s unified architecture allows it to predict multiple bounding boxes and class probabilities for those boxes simultaneously. This results in a significant reduction in background errors and more accurate detection of objects. Versatility: YOLO is highly adaptable across various domains such as autonomous driving, surveillance systems, medical imaging, and even retail analytics. 🌟 Summer Project Completed! 🌟 This summer, I tackled an exciting project that's been on my mind for a while: a Stop Sign Violation Detector! 🛑🚨 [UPDATE] My article is now on Roboflow! https://lnkd.in/d8hFkr2N 🛠️ Functionality - Identifies the location of vehicles and their wheels. - Monitors movement near stop lines. - Automatically detects and reports reckless driving behavior with relevant video footage. - Developed using Roboflow 🚗 Data - To avoid real-life violations, I simulated traffic scenarios using GTA V. This allowed for controlled, repeatable tests without privacy concerns. - While simulated cars lack license plates, integrating license plate recognition in real-world applications could complete the detection pipeline. 🔍 Curious about the details?
