Key facts about them: 🪱 Nematodes are simple, worm-like creatures that are microscopic or just visible to the naked eye. 😳 They are the most abundant multicellular organisms on Earth, inhabiting diverse environments from deserts to rainforests. 🦠 Nutrient Cycling: certain nematodes feed on bacteria and fungi, helping to release nutrients locked within these microorganisms, making them more available to plants. 🪳Biocontrol Agents: Some nematodes can be used in agriculture to control pest populations by infecting and killing insect pests, reducing the need for chemical pesticides.
