It’s Thought Leadership Thursday! Here are a few ideas for growing your influence and to attract attention online. Tip 1: Be intentional. Develop case studies that showcase your expertise and success in your work- those that have led to measurable results. Share these on your social media channels to build credibility and attract more clients. Tip 2: Expand your reach by creating your own blog or writing guest posts for reputable industry blogs. This not only brings new audiences to your brand but also builds your reputation as a thought leader in your field. Tip 3: Host regular live Q&A sessions on your social platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook Live, TikTok, YouTube or Instagram to engage directly with your audience. Use these sessions to share your expertise, answer questions, and build a community around your brand.

It’s true. Social media is my love language. ❤️ Cheers to my fellow social media lovers. We get a whole day dedicated to us. HAPPY SOCIAL MEDIA DAY! When I started Blair Kaplan Communications 16 years ago, social media marketing wasn’t a “thing.” It wasn’t a service that professionals offered, and there were no experts from whom to learn. My clients and future clients would ask if I knew how to use this “thing” called social media for marketing. I said YES, I DO, even though I didn’t. I figured it out and created my own systems and processes with a proven track record of success. Do you have a social media and thought leadership strategy? If not, that’s ok. I created a system called The Social Media Empowerment Pillars. If you want to be seen as a Thought Leader, you need these 7 elements in your strategy: * Edutain * Money * Personas * Other Players * Wins * Engagement * Realistic Goals Do you need help building your strategy, or do you want to know more about this system? Let’s have a discovery call. DM or email me: blair@blairkaplan.ca #socialmediaday #socialmediatips #thoughtleader #thoughtleadership #worldsocialmediaday

Micro-Influencers & Thought Leadership Micro-influencers and thought leaders are becoming key players on LinkedIn, especially for niche industries. These individuals focus on specific topics and build trust within their communities through consistent, valuable content. Thought leadership goes beyond self-promotion; it’s about providing insights that foster professional growth and industry advancement. Micro-influencers on LinkedIn tend to be highly relatable and engage more authentically with their audience, offering tailored advice, actionable insights, and fostering meaningful discussions. By integrating these elements, professionals can enhance their visibility, increase engagement, and establish authority in their respective fields.

Why is executive social media strategy important? Because if your company is a startup, you are a big part of the "brand." Regularly share insights, provide commentary on what’s happening and what’s next, contribute to the conversation. The most important piece of thought leadership is sharing your thoughts. You’re missing out if you’re not using your personal platform to engage with your peers, expand your community, and make new connections. People are watching and listening. Regular and thoughtful social conversations from leaders can increase company awareness, drive recruitment, and help position leaders as experts for other opportunities like coverage, speaking engagements, and awards. More than that, if your company’s mission is to fix a problem, you should be using your voice to draw attention to that issue and share the solution.
