How SWEET is that!?! If hospitals could provide this kind of 'play time' with each little patient......(we might avoid permanently scarring them for life with fear of the medical system)...perception is everything. I created a BME tool to replace that mean tourniquet - a tool that most children will not be afraid of..... 😊 Whatever we can do to lessen their fear - we improve their care! VATmethod.com

At Quikdraw Phlebotomy School, we understand that blood draws can be nerve-wracking for patients. To help ease their discomfort, remember these key tips: 1. Explain each step of the process in simple terms. 2. Use a gentle touch during venipuncture. 3. Encourage patients to relax their arms. 4. Consider using a smaller needle for sensitive patients. Compassion and clear communication make all the difference. Let's keep our patients at ease and make every experience a positive one! #PhlebotomyTips #PatientComfort #Healthcare #QuikDrawPhlebotomyShool #Shelton #MedicalCareer #PhlebotomyTraining #PhlebotomySchool #TradeSchool #MedicalAssistant #MedicalTraining #PhlebotomyCertificate #MedicalIndustry

Federal health officials have announced a significant policy update mandating hospitals to secure patient consent before conducting breast, pelvic, and other sensitive examinations, especially in educational settings. This directive aims to address growing concerns around the lack of consent for such procedures, reinforcing patient rights and aligning with existing state laws enhancing protections. This update underscores the importance of informed consent, ensuring patients are aware and agreeable to any medical examinations or treatments, particularly those performed for teaching purposes. The move is a critical step towards safeguarding patient privacy and autonomy, further supported by federal privacy protections under HIPAA. #HealthPolicy #PatientConsent #MedicalEthics #HIPAA #PatientRights

Our goal isn’t to simply get 'em in for medical appointments. We want to change how Betties *feel* about healthcare altogether. 🫶 Here’s how we’re doing it 👇 👯♀️ Getting to know our Betties! We're staying up-to-date on what matters to them, and listening to their concerns so we can be a trusted resource for evidence-based education. 📱Taking a tech-first approach to all aspects of patient experience – in-app booking, intake forms, and easy-peasy communication. 👩⚕️ Stacking our bench with providers and counselors who specialize in the issues Betties are facing and the #gynecology or #mentalhealth treatment they need. This is #womenshealthcare for the teens and twenty-somethings. 🪩✨

🌟 Reflecting on my experience running an outpatient department serving over 1,000 patients a day amid a doctors' strike 🌟 At our hospital, we believe in the power of healing and the importance of compassionate care. Recently, we faced the unique challenge of providing medical services during a doctors' strike. Here are some lessons we learned along the way: 1. Effective Communication: Keeping patients informed about changes in services and availability was crucial. Clear, consistent updates helped manage expectations and maintain trust. 2. Prioritization of Care: We prioritized care based on the severity of patients' conditions, ensuring those with urgent needs were seen first. 3. Teamwork and Collaboration: Our team banded together, sharing tasks and responsibilities to provide the best possible care. 4. Holistic Care: We addressed patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, offering prayer and counseling alongside medical care. 5. Patient Education: We empowered patients with information on self-care and available alternatives for minor ailments. Despite the challenges, our team’s dedication and commitment to our mission has shone through. Together, we were able to navigate this difficult time and continue serving our patients with care and compassion. #WetreatJesusheals #HealthcareHeroes #CompassionateCare #HealthcareChallenges #FaithBasedCare
