NEWS  |  FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE  |  Jan. 3, 2023 Public encouraged to participate in water quality priorities survey BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality requests public input in developing a 10-year strategy for ongoing efforts to address impaired waters. The 10-year strategy will address how and why Environmental Quality plans to approach surface water quality issues such as excess bacteria (E. coli), nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus), and sediment that impact recreation and other uses of lakes and streams. Impaired waters often need a detailed assessment to identify pollutant sources and an action plan outlining steps to improve water quality. Environmental Quality will use the 10-year strategy to help structure water quality assessment and planning each year.   North Dakotans know their watersheds best. Environmental Quality wants to know: What are your water quality priorities? What water bodies do you want to see improved? What water bodies do you want to see protected? While Microsoft Excel is often my go-to for its robust features, for this particular venture, Google Sheets stood out due to its unique capabilities like real-time stock price updates and seamless collaboration. The result? A comprehensive toolkit comprising: - A detailed Balance Sheet - A forward-looking Financial Forecaster (with a one-year projection) - A GPA Calculator tailored for academic tracking - A Credit Card Payment Calculator to manage finances better These tools have been instrumental in keeping my life organized and goal-oriented.
