HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TEDDY! Teddy was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) in August 2022, about a month after his 11th birthday. His diagnosis came as a shock and it was a learning curve for Teddy and his parents. Today, Teddy is independent when it comes to managing his T1D and wears a glucose monitor and insulin pump to help him manage it. He’s determined to not let T1D stop him from doing the things he loves, including playing baseball. Teddy plays on both local and travel baseball teams and has a dream of making it to the MLB someday. Teddy spent time as the Chicago Cubs Honorary Bat Kid to help kick off celebrations for his 13th birthday ⚾️🎂🎈💙

Absolutely, it's truly remarkable to think about the level of fortitude and determination Cam Booser demonstrated on his journey to the Major Leagues. The sheer resilience he must have possessed to persevere through years of setbacks and challenges is awe-inspiring. It's likely that there were countless moments when he questioned whether his dream was attainable, yet he continued to push forward with unwavering dedication. The fact that Cam never gave up, even when faced with adversity, is a testament to his character and inner strength. Many aspiring athletes would have been discouraged after years of not seeing their efforts pay off, but Cam remained committed to his goal. His story serves as a powerful reminder that success often requires patience, persistence, and a steadfast belief in oneself. Cam's journey is a source of inspiration for anyone facing obstacles in pursuit of their dreams. It highlights the importance of resilience, perseverance, and never losing sight of what truly matters. We can all learn from his example and apply his lessons of determination and tenacity to our own lives, no matter what challenges we may encounter.
Cam Booser is 31 years old. He's torn his UCL, had shoulder surgery, and, while rehabbing from that, broke his back after being hit by a car. He quit baseball and became a carpenter, but later realized he could still throw well over 90 MPH. After a year of playing independent baseball, the Red Sox signed him—and gave him his MLB debut.

🚨 This weekend has been an eye-opener for baseball enthusiasts everywhere. The unfortunate reality of high-profile pitchers suffering season-ending elbow injuries is a harsh reminder of the prevalent issue in MLB. But let's talk solutions, not just problems. My inbox has been flooded with messages like: 👀 "I saw your post; you predicted this!" 📹 "Your video on arm path shows this exact problem." And many more. It's clear that there are glaring issues that need addressing to prevent further damage. In my opinion, if you're aware of the causes of arm injuries yet continue down the same path without making changes, isn't that a choice? And perhaps, the wrong one? Contrary to what some may claim, there's no shortcut to success in baseball. Velocity, command, and a healthy arm require dedication and expert guidance. Ask them about their injury rates. Mine? Still ZERO. But you won't find any acknowledgment of that from certain quarters. They'll hit the delete button faster than you can blink! I'm here to offer a different choice. I've dedicated myself to saving one million arms. But I can't do it alone. I need YOUR help. Your choice can make a difference. Join me in the mission to save arms: https://lnkd.in/eDKFxEip #VelocityRx #DrKevinMcGovern #VelocityBoost #BaseballHealth #InjuryPrevention #ChooseWisely Help me save one million arms, Dr. Kevin J. Today is Lou Gehrig Day. Last month was #ALS Awareness. Community, please learn and become more than " aware" of this fatal neurodegenerative disease anyone can get! You can read about it in the link in 5 minutes. People fighting it need us now. Most live 2-5 years. ALS is progressive, eventually taking away the ability to walk, dress, write, speak, swallow, and breathe. Most often the mind remains sharp. There is no treatment or cure. 1 in 15 people worldwide will get a neurological disease. We need more shared research, trials, and speed. ALS took my dad almost 24 years ago way too soon. I miss and think about him every day. He was my greatest champion. -There are extraordinary signed trading cards to bid on today. - link below ( Alexis Ohanian Sr. Ken Goldin). - Find out more about Brian Wallach ( iamals.org and #NoOrdinaryCampaign) #TeamGleasonFoundation. #SteveGleason . Both of these men have young kids and do many others who are not so well known. - Help fund more resources for families. It's insanely expensive and insurance never covers all the needs. - Tell more stories. There are incredible warriors out there who have fought and many still fighting globally. ( Breakwater Studios Ltd. Level Forward Skydance). It's taken well-known people in Sports, Hollywood, and extraordinary " ordinary" people. -Lets get more brands involved to tell more stories. Going down a concussion rabbit hole..the danger of sub-concussions, not presenting with any symptoms, but cumulatively creating longer term brain damage..there is definitely a need for introducing protective headgear, especially in younger kids participating in contact sports.. #rezonHalo

"Your shoulder is like a Ferrari!" –Dr. Riboh This analogy explains that for athletes, especially baseball pitchers, the shoulder is a high-performing 'vehicle' that sometimes needs to go into the shop for a 'tuneup' to perform the best it can. This means that when baseball pitchers are experiencing shoulder pain, it is typically an overuse problem versus an injury, and can almost always be treated with physical therapy. 💪 Ask Dr. Riboh more questions about shoulder pain in the comments!
