In light of the Flo Health Inc. news, I can't think of a better time to highlight Elizabeth Ruzzo, PhD, founder of adyn: the first test developed to help women find the right birth control. Elizabeth launched Adyn after her OWN experience with life-threatening birth control side effects. Did you know that most birth control users try four or more methods before settling on one? They switch due to side effects (often life-threatening) like blood clots, depression, acne, weight gain. Adyn is finally taking the "guessing" out of birth control. Elizabeth received her PhD in Genetics and Genomics from Duke University and has raised $3.25M in VC funding from investors including M13, Y Combinator, and Anne Wojcicki - the founder of 23andMe. In this episode we chat about: 💫 Modern issues in prescribing birth control 💫 Elizabeth's journey to YC as a solo-founder 💫 Pivoting from a career research to entrepreneurship 💫 + so much more Check out our full conversation here: https://lnkd.in/enAGj39S #femtech #venturecapital #yc #startup
OMG SOO NEEDED!!! bummed i missed the opportunity to invest.
THIS is why we need diversity in investing! Every woman reading this is screaming YES, we NEED this but not every man is seeing the opportunity. The only way to close is the gap is getting diverse voices in the room, otherwise Funds are just leaving money on the table.
Hands down one of my fave episodes you've put out.
This is so awesome - long overdue 🙌🙌🙌
WOW! Love this concept, so ingenious and definitely needed. Following adyn and Elizabeth Ruzzo, PhD to watch the journey! 🚀

2moThis would have saved me so much agony and stress trying to find birth control that didn't make my migraines worse. I am so excited for this founder and team (and for all the women who will use this!).
