The 2024 Assembly of First Nations (AFN) Annual General Assembly (AGA) was held in person this week, on the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation, (Montreal, Quebec). With this year’s theme of “Strengthening Our Relations”, members of Aecon’s Indigenous Relations team were in attendance, with Gilles Audet, Director, Business Development to present to the Quebec Labrador Chiefs about our partnerships with Indigenous communities and our plans to further develop Indigenous Relations in the Quebec and Maritimes provinces. We thank the APNQL caucus for the opportunity to speak to their Chiefs.

L'Assemblée générale annuelle (AGA) de l'Assemblée des Premières Nations (APN) s'est tenue en personne cette semaine sur le territoire traditionnel de la Nation Kanien'kehá:ka, à Montréal, sous le thème « Renforcer nos relations ». L’équipe des relations autochtones d’Aecon y a pris part avec Gilles Audet, Développement des affaires, Est du Canada. Ils ont été invités à faire une présentation aux chefs du Québec et du Labrador sur Aecon, nos partenariats de coentreprise avec les communautés autochtones et nos plans pour développer davantage nos relations avec les Autochtones dans les provinces du Québec et des Maritimes. Nous remercions le caucus de l'APNQL de nous avoir donné l'occasion de nous adresser à ses chefs.

1wI had a negative experience with Aecon, as they seemed to use their training programs primarily for marketing and building their image. There were numerous misleading statements, and it felt like they were wasting people's time, effort, money, and government resources. Shame on them
