The Cozystack v0.7.0 release stabilizes the operation with tenant Kubernetes clusters and networking: - Kube-ovn and Cilium have been updated to the latest versions - Resolved an issue with pod communication in tenant Kubernetes clusters - Fixed the problem with propagating correct DNS servers in user clusters - Addressed incorrect handling of users and roles in the config of the Postgres application - Resolved issues with non-functioning externalTrafficPolicy: Cluster - Autocompaction and periodic defragmentation have been enabled for etcd. - It is now suggested to use the domain cozy.local for the parent cluster, enabling services created in the parent to be reached from tenant Kubernetes clusters using a single DNS name or FQDN. https://lnkd.in/eAvnumuw

Enviro6 - The updated tool.. 😎 A month ago, I introduced the Enviro6 tool, which was tested in both lab and production environments. However, the results weren't consistent across all scenarios. So, I took some time to dive deeper into IPv6, rewrote the tool, and refined its functionality. IPv6 addresses were created to address the growing shortage of IPv4 addresses. With 128-bit length, IPv6 offers an almost limitless pool of addresses. There are three main types of IPv6 addresses: * Link-Local Address: Used for local network communication, identified by the fe80:: prefix. These can be generated from the device’s MAC address or randomly for enhanced security. * Global IPv6 Address: Assigned by ISPs, allowing devices to be accessible from anywhere on the internet. These are globally unique and distributed by routers within local networks. * Unique Local Address (ULA): Similar to private IPv4 addresses, used within private networks and not routable on the public internet, identified by the fc00::/7 prefix. Enviro6 focuses on: Detecting Link-Local Addresses by listening to Solicit requests, where the client sends its LLA along with its MAC address. Identifying devices using NDP messages, enabling discovery of Link-Local Addresses within the local network. Acting as a DHCPv6 server to manage and assign ULA addresses. This tool was born out of the need to navigate network environments with IPv4 isolation policies, where IPv6 was left unmanaged. It creates a separate, efficient communication layer alongside the existing IPv4 infrastructure. Link To the tool: https://lnkd.in/ddTMBVDm
GitHub - ShkudW/Enviro6: Enviro6 is a Python-based script for traffic management based on IPv6 in a local network The tool uses a DHCPv6 server and a DNS server, and allows a good infrastructure for a variety of man-in-the-middle attacks and poisoning DNS records

A CDN, or Content Delivery Network, is a network of distributed servers strategically located across various geographical locations to deliver web content efficiently to users. The primary purpose of a CDN is to enhance the performance, reliability, and security of delivering content over the internet. Below is low level design implementation of CDN. https://lnkd.in/g3g4B_P2

Improve your Active Directory security with the new Adalanche v2024.1.11 release! It's been 8 months since the last release, and here's what happened since then: - UI refresh based on BootStrap in dark mode (halfmoonui 2.x) - Queries now have dedicated input fields for targets, middle nodes and outer nodes (easier to search for e.g. path from DC to person) - New layout engine COSE Bilkent (available in the visualization panel) - Improved info on exposed cPasswords - Internal node class is now available as 'type' attribute - ForeignSecurityPrincipal is almost gone now, as it wasn't adding value in the graph - You can export words from the domain to a file, for use with hashcat rule cracking if you're doing password audits - New edges: constrained delegation, interitssecurity - New attribute: publishedby (who publishes a cert template) - Updated the readme/docs/screenshots to reflect changes - Lots of bugfixes and engine improvements There are also sample data available in my "adalanche-sampledata" Github repository, so you can take it for a spin without extracting data from your production environment. Please share with your friends and colleagues - and I love feedback, good or bad. The new release is here: https://lnkd.in/d-TmYu8X

#SRv6 technology is becoming more mature, with more and more operators exploring or even introducing it into their production networks. It is an advancement that boosts network programmability, reduces complexity, and establishes a robust foundation for the development of sophisticated services and applications. For those of you who wish to gain hands-on experience with the three most popular services — #EVPN #VPWS, #EVPN #ELAN, and #L3VPN over SRv6 core — I have provided a guidance below on building a virtual topology. This guide utilizes #Juniper vMXes, with the #containerlab project serving as an orchestration tool. https://lnkd.in/eFa53iBG
