The recorded proceedings of the panel Games and Foresight: Unlocking Strategic Insight Through Play during the World Futures Studies Federation 50th Anniversary Conference are out! We shared and unpacked several foresight games from Paris, including Dreams and Disruptions. Games can serve as a powerful and playful tool to generate heterogeneous, plural, and, yes, stress-tested visions of the future. Decisions and choices can be simulated and teaming enhanced within the game context. As a learning tool, foresight games enable learners to learn complex ideas like randomness, bias, systems, and chaos. A significant insight I think from embedding games into foresight is the sense of agency it instills in players. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare® III, released in November 2023, provides an action-packed gaming experience that picks up immediately following the events of last year's incredible blockbuster Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. It's been a truly global video production project. When Sledgehammer Games needed a video production studio, they came to Melbourne-based Pixel3 Video Productions and together we collaborated to produce this video, a visual letter of gratitude straight from the developers to their players. #XDefiant is new #Overwatch. Ubisoft took their time to wait till Overwatch 2 will fail with single player campaign and now preparing for the jump. (As a part of wait process, XDefiant build was bad enough to be rejected from both Xbox and PS in first release attempt) TC Heartland also slowly preparing for the jump (The Division 1-2 Dark Zone as separate game) Skull & Bones (AC 4 mode), R6 Extraction (R6 mode), GR Frontline (PUBG clone), Hyper Scape (PUBG clone), Immortals Fenyx Rising (Genshin Impact clone) and The Crew 2 (Forza clone) failed the jump.
