FERC have just published 'Order 1920' which reforms regional transmission policy for the first time in a decade, including requiring consideration of advanced power flow control, DLR and others to meet transmission needs⚡ According to Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, this new Rule will "ensure the transmission grid can meet the nation’s growing demand for reliable electricity with a new rule that outlines how to plan and pay for facilities that regions of the country will need to keep the lights on and power the American economy through the 21st Century". Great article highlighting Schneider Electric's partnership with the Department of the Air Force at Yokota Air Base in the Indo-Pacific region. In addition to providing the installation commander with uninterrupted, base-wide power and continuous service (even during natural disasters, power disruptions or non-kinetic grid attacks), the Yokota microgrid was delivered through an Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) that required no upfront investment from the installation or U.S. taxpayers.
