💡 Aviation Word of the Day - PURSER 🔹The lead flight attendant on board an aircraft, responsible for managing the other flight attendants Key Responsibilities of a Purser: 1. Safety management: Ensures that all safety procedures are followed and that the aircraft is prepared for emergencies 2. Cabin crew supervision: They supervise the work of other flight attendants and coordinate their activities 3. Liaison: Acts as the primary liaison between the flight deck (pilots) and the cabin crew to ensure smooth in-flight operations 🔹The term "purser" originated from the days when ships carried a purser, i.e. a financial officer responsible for managing the ship's finances 🔹In aviation, the purser's role has evolved to include safety and passenger service responsibilities #aviation #aviationterms #purser #cabincrew #flying #aircraft #aviationfacts #aviationknowledge

The survey data is ramping up! However, I would love if more #Aviation professionals who are part of #GroundCrew, #TicketSales, #AirTrafficControl and so many other important employees could add feedback! We want the paper and survey data to be as rounded as possible so a share or linking it to someone who has or does work in regional airlines in any capacity would be the cats meow! #Aviation #RegionalAirlines #Airport #Tarmac https://lnkd.in/eTeYpM9y Cheers!
