Chief Ground Instructor at Miami Dade College Eig-Watson School of Aviation for the FAA Part 141 Pilot courses and FAA Part 65 Dispatcher Courses.
This could be the result of improper preflight performance calculations resulting in incorrect V-speeds, and/or density altitude, and/or T.O. thrust settings, and/or engine problems. What do you think? Aircraft Dispatchers must confirm all calculations.

The biggest hurdle for most aircrafts will be the certification by this high standard
When we describe our aircraft, the word "safety" immediately comes to mind. However, the phrase "10-9" may not ring a bell for many! It is the safety standard level in aviation at which we will certify our #VoloCity aircraft. It means that the VoloCity can only have one critical failure in a billion flight hours – a prerequisite by EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency to ensure our aircraft is one of the safest modes of transport to currently exist. How safe? Once certified, our VoloCity will be as safe as a commercial airliner. To learn more about special terms related to Volocopter and the eVTOL industry, just take another glance at the Gloss! https://lnkd.in/ev4DV4XB #VolocopterGlossary

Landing on an installer is as important as choosing your avionics when it comes to a panel upgrade. It was great to sit down with Larry Anglisano during AirVenture 2024, discussing all things avionics. We chatted about considerations for aircraft owners when thinking panel upgrades with modern Garmin solutions. Excerpts of the conversation can be found in Larry's new article linked here via AviationConsumer.com.

💡Flight test campaign of a system capable of autonomously flying a FAR 23 aircraft, through the implementation of a Supplemental Type Certificate. As for now, it will however use a safety pilot. According to the article, it is capable of generating alternative routes for pilot approval, as well as two-way spoken communication with ATC. Interesting!
We're thrilled to announce the first flight test campaign using a Merlin Pilot-equipped Cessna Grand Caravan 208B! A first for the industry, this test campaign marks another big step toward an approved supplemental type certificate (STC), paving the way for future applications to other FAA Part 23 aircraft. It also reinforces our commitment to certified autonomy across both small and large aircraft platforms. Read this feature by Jack Daleo in FLYING Magazine to learn more: https://lnkd.in/d89Euivj
