Continued challenges with availability rates on the Sikorsky S-92 helicopter have prompted the IOGP to again warn its members about "applying punitive financial penalties" on operators who are unable to meet aircraft avialability targets due to forces beyond their control. It says this situation - financial pressure, stretched maintenance departments, skills shortages - is creating a potential safety risk. IOGP first warned on the subject last October - operators say while aircraft availability has not worsened since then it has simply "stabilised at a pretty disappointing level" and in the meantime some IOGP members continue to levy financial penalties: "some will penalise us regardless", says one operator. https://lnkd.in/ebzWrx-K
