"European real estate markets: The dawning of a new era or the end of the old cycle?" was the title of the opening panel at the 5th Real Estate Investment Day #REID2024 by Targa Communications. Esteban de Lope Fend, Managing Director of Real Estate Fund Management at Deka Immobilien, along with Tina Reuter MRICS from Cushman & Wakefield, Rodney Bysh from Feldberg Capital, and Jochen Schaefer-Suren from IREMIS, engaged in an intensive discussion moderated by Charles Kingston from REFIRE Ltd. There was a consensus that a paradigm shift has occurred in the real estate industry, and the complexity of the changing market situation requires a holistic approach. In this context, however, it is also fair to say that the numerous European #ESG requirements are not yet being understood everywhere in the world.
