We began our company with an equity crowdfunding campaign back in 2021 and we're so happy to say that thanks to the communities early belief in our team and vision, we've been able to accomplish so much with the best yet to come! https://lnkd.in/eQbQJ4PP

99% Uptime is about 4 days of downtime a year. VAIL VR strives for 99.999999999% uptime, but what is more important is how quickly we recover when we (inevitably) go down. VAIL's backend which was built with care by Companion Group (Liam Brennan, Jim Umstot) and AccelByte (Alexander Vlahopoulos) experienced a brief downtime late Tuesday evening. AccelByte brought it back online almost as quickly as we realized it was down, and I'm not sure many players even had the chance to notice. The human touch, the curiosity, and unlimited realtime communication makes it all work. I wish it was taught better in books. Thanks to AccelByte for being the daily protectors of the infrastructure that large live multiplayer worlds rely on. :)

Celebrating 10 years @ Meta today, which also coincides with my first day back from my month-long sabbatical. The last decade has been a treat. If I've had the privilege of working with you, thanks for being part of it. <3
