Today, the Secretary General of the #AfCFTA, H.E. Wamkele Mene paid a courtesy call on the President of Liberia H.E. Joseph Boakai. The Secretary-General was pleased to learn that Liberia has successfully completed its internal ratification process for the AfCFTA Agreement. This significant milestone reflects Liberia’s strong commitment to advancing economic integration across #Africa. The Secretary-General assured President Boakai of the AfCFTA Secretariat’s steadfast support for Liberia’s engagement in the African single market for goods and services. The AfCFTA Secretariat is committed to assisting Liberia in harnessing its potential, particularly in key sectors such as #agriculture and the processing of natural resources, including rubber and minerals.
Commendable efforts and cheers

Great news! Soon the 48th State Party 🇱🇷
Exciting news! Could you provide an update on the progress of free movement of people across Africa as it relates to boosting the AfCFTA? This is a fundamental aspect of all AfCFTA initiatives, as their success will be limited if Africans face barriers to moving freely across the continent. For example, a Cameroonian should no longer need to go through an administrative visa process to travel to Côte d'Ivoire. Without addressing this issue, how will goods and services flow freely, how will flight volumes increase, and how will ticket prices decrease? What is the AU’s concrete plan to address this?
