How important is recognition for you? 🧐 Let’s be honest. Everyone is happy when special achievements at work are recognized. Whether it's praise or small gestures of gratitude. Recognition in a company is crucial to creating a positive working environment and increasing employee motivation. I am convinced that appreciation leads to a more productive, positive and committed working environment. At GlobalFoundries, recognition is an important part of the corporate philosophy. The goal is to ensure that outstanding performance and commitment are recognized in a timely and straightforward manner. That is why we have a multi-level award system in which colleagues can nominate each other for exceptional achievements. Depending on the award, the winners receive a financial bonus. The Invitation: use the sentiment of the season, which is about hope, love & joy to reach out! Wrapping up the year my focus has been on managing business results & keeping my own and team motivation, so we show up intact for well-deserved family time over this festive season. I love investing time in reflection. To share the joy achieved, lessons learnt, disappointments overcome. In time pressured and hurried lives, I have missed life milestones and celebrations, lost contact with some, been a voyeur of others and now I have an opportunity to connect again. My experience: Be thoughtful in catch-up sessions. Encouraged by the universal truth that good relationships built on solid foundations flourish on quality; you can pick up where you left off as time and distance hold no barriers. My own reflection: A moment of awe at my own 12:12:12 scenario – 12th day of the 12th month, 12 days to Christmas and in November I celebrated 12 years at VWSA! I have diversified my skillset in sales & marketing. In 2023 leading a capable team of specialists, driving customer paid business, sales & loyalty in automotive after sales, I relay a mantra learnt from a previous leader “every team deserves their leader & every leader deserves his/her team”. We amplified “breaking new ground” – embraced a business reorganisation, new roles & portfolios, delivered on new business & revenue streams, retained credentials for benchmark customer service & dealer engagements, and together we built a thriving culture which allows individuals & the team to excel. 20 days & counting... 🙌 When giving out a thought, this is hard to believe that it’s been just 20 days since I joined Torry Harris Integration Solutions, but what a ride it's been! From diving into new platforms to taking #ownership of my work, each day has pushed me to #grow in incredible ways. One standout moment so far was the “THIS & Charcha” #event, conceptualized for the new joiners to meet the leadership team. This intimate gathering wasn’t just another induction; but a meaningful #conversation that helped me and the other joiners to understand the #companyculture and our roles within it. 'THIS & Charcha' aimed to ensure we felt welcomed and supported as we into this new environment. It was amazing to see an #organization prioritize open #communication and #employeeengagement right from the very start. Events like these don’t just help the newcomers feel valued; they also foster #connections across all levels of the #company. Also, cheers to our #leadershipteam, Shuba Sridhar, Karthik T S, Srikar SS, Manjunath Gk, Aparna C & Harinarayan Iyer , for creating such a comfortable and open space for these #insightful conversations. Learning from your #expertise has been invaluable! And To my fellow new joiners, let’s power up to add significant #value to the organization.
