🌟 Cargo iQ at IATA’s World Cargo Symposium: A recap from a successful week! After a busy and productive week at IATA’s World Cargo Symposium we’re thrilled to share the highlights of our recent participation. Following our mission “ PLAN - DELIVER – LEARN – TOGETHER “ we caught up with members, forged new connections, and started a course for further cooperations and projects envisioning the development of industry standards for quality. Here’s a closer look: 1. Board and Membership Meetings: Our week started with our very motivated board meeting early on Monday, followed by our membership meeting (in hybrid style) , where the candidates for the election of seven seats for the board were introduced. The formal voting will be concluded in the coming weeks. 2. Introduction to New Cargo iQ Executive Director At the meeting we also announced that Marie Seco will be taking the reins as the new Executive Director for Cargo iQ, effective May 2024. Marie’s appointment marks a new chapter for Cargo iQ. Her extensive experience in logistics and her passion for quality assurance will propel us forward as we continue our work on air cargo processes worldwide. 3. Engagement with Stakeholders: Our interactions extended beyond meeting rooms. We engaged with Cargo iQ members as well as with other industry stakeholders. These conversations were more than just exchanges of business cards; they were opportunities to weave a global tapestry of collaboration. We discussed best practices, shared insights, and explored opportunities. 🌐✈️ 4. Press Conference: Unveiling the Future: Against the backdrop of the symposium, our Chair and Vice-Chair hosted a press conference to a team of attentive journalists. In addition to announcing our new Executive Director, we have also revealed exciting projects aimed at enhancing membership engagement: The Membership Tiers and a Scorecard, being developed to be usable industry wide. You can read more about this in our Press Release, which was circulated immediately after the conference. 5. Advanced Training with Cathay Cargo: Sharpening Skills To close this exciting week Cathay Cargo hosted us for an advanced training session. Eighteen participants from eight Cargo iQ member organizations gathered in a room to deepen their knowledge on Cargo iQ concepts. Topics covered in the training were Planning Logic, ENCORE, Milestones & KPIs, Smart Data & Reporting, Exception Handling Codes and Audit & Certification In summary, we return home with a feeling of accomplishment from the World Cargo Symposium and we already look forward to the next one in Dubai 🌏 #CargoiQ #AirCargo #Freightforwarding #WCS
