If you could always talk yourself out of a speeding ticket, would you drive as fast as you wanted to? Some people follow the rules, though. Like bakers vs. chefs. Great bakers know that you must measure precisely and follow the recipe if you want consistency. Their creativity comes with their display. Renowned chefs are more about the art of cooking. When a chef prepares a meal it's about self-expression on a plate. The creativity is needed to improvise for missing ingredients and understand how to modify a recipe without ruining it. I can cook but I'm no chef and definitely not a great baker. It's not that I don't want to follow the rules. It's that there's so much that happens when you unleash your creativity and express yourself with improvising ingredients and don't have to follow the rules. How about you?
