The session brought together delegations from across the GCC and Qatari government officials to focus on the government's role in strengthening the innovation ecosystem and overcoming key challenges in this field. In the discussion, I shared Ibtechar's perspective on the role of the private sector in fostering innovation within government settings. I emphasized the importance of viewing innovation as a transformational journey, one that requires a long-term commitment to embed a culture of innovation. It’s not a single project or a time-bound scope but a strategic approach to fundamentally elevate government performance and enable sustained impact. #Innovation #PublicSector #LeadershipDevelopment #GCC #GovernmentInnovation #CapacityBuilding #Ibtechar #InnovationCulture #Transformation

The visit of #SAARC Secretary General to Islamabad marks a promising step forward! His engaging interaction at #IRS Institute of Regional Studies, Islamabad signifies a pivotal moment for SAARC's revitalization. A reinvigorated #SAARC holds immense potential for regional and global stability by fostering cooperation, addressing common challenges, and promoting inclusive growth. The challenges encountered by SAARC, including political tensions, bilateral conflicts like the India-Pakistan dispute, economic disparities, trade barriers, and organizational deficiencies, have impeded regional collaboration, economic integration, and progress towards shared objectives. Key initiatives like SAFTA, SAARC Development Goals (SDGs), SAARC Arbitration Council, regional centers, and social charter exhibit promise in tackling core issues, spanning economic integration, sustainable development by Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, dispute resolution, technical support, and social welfare, thereby bolstering regional cooperation and advancement. A strategic vision for SAARC should prioritize attainable goals such as economic integration, infrastructure development, peacebuilding, environmental sustainability, social progress, and global partnerships. Implementation strategies should emphasize institutional fortification, capacity enhancement, and robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to ensure the effective delivery of SAARC's objectives. #SAARC #RegionalCooperation #GlobalStability #ISSI #planningcommission https://lnkd.in/e-KFsRsK

I am thrilled to announce that my PhD research, titled "The Influences of Ambidexterity, New Public Management, and Innovation on the Public Service Quality of Government Organizations", has been published in Public Performance and Management Review (PPMR). This publication represents a significant milestone as it delves into the critical yet under-researched domain of government sector management in the Middle East and MENA region, particularly in Oman. The study evaluates the impact of organizational ambidexterity, new public management (NPM), and innovations on public service quality. By utilizing structural equation modeling on data gathered from government organizations in the Sultanate of Oman, the findings highlight the importance of innovative management practices in improving public services, offering valuable perspectives for policymakers and practitioners. I am grateful for the incredible teamwork and dedication of Dr. Joe Hazzam, Prof. Stephen Wilkins, and Dr. Sorin Dan, which made this publication possible. For those interested in exploring this rare and important study, you can access the full article here: https://lnkd.in/dSA2jTnP #PhDResearch #Ambidexterity #NewPublicManagement #NPM #Innovation #PublicService #Oman #Government #PPMR #AcademicPublishing
