Who we are: Let us introduce the dedicated experts behind JACARDI. Meet Ane Fullaondo Zabala, Co-Leader of Health literacy and awareness Work Package Instituto de Investigación en Sistemas de Salud Biosistemak, Spain 🔷What does being a WP Co-leader in JACARDI mean to you in your career? Participating as WP co-leaders in #JACARDI offers us the opportunity to be actively involved in the development and coordination of the project's core activities, which in some way guide and facilitate regions in the great challenge of implementing sustainable #HealthLiteracy interventions that can evolve paradigms of health systems. Being part of this process fosters our professional growth by training us in innovative and transformative processes. 🔷What are your motivations, challenges, and mission for this project? As a health systems research institute focused on improving #HealthCare in the Basque Country and improving regional #PublicHealth and community care strategies, our role is to catalyse the necessary changes in our context, using our expertise and experience to mobilise the relevant levers and make progress in the areas of health literacy and integrated care pathways. #EU4Health #HealthUnion

Who we are: Let us introduce the dedicated experts behind JACARDI. Meet Mounia El Yamani-Mekrami Leader of Health literacy and awareness Work Package French Public Health Agency, France 🔷What does being a WP Leader in JACARDI mean to you in your career? As a public health practitioner, my role is to help reduce the causes of ill health and improve people's health and well-being. Being the leader of WP6 on #HealthLiteracy in JACARDI is a great opportunity for me to strengthen the continuum included in the missions of Santé publique France. Thanks to this action, for the first time, the numerous data generated by the surveillance of non-communicable diseases (#NCDs: #CardiovascularDiseases and #diabetes) will be used directly in prevention and health promotion activities. Successfully tackling the burden of NCDs requires effective interventions that can be scaled up to address the broad scope of the problem. I'm proud to contribute to that. 🔷What are your motivations, challenges, and mission for this project? My motivation is always to experience, learn and share. I love this quote: If you are unwilling to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you. Every challenge I complete motivates me to do the next one, and JACARDI is a big one. Applying the same health literacy methodology to 24 pilots with different populations and multiple issues while promoting equity, diversity and sustainability, is a challenge. I'm confident I can do it with a great team like Richard Osborne, Melanie Hawkins and Instituto de Investigación en Sistemas de Salud Biosistemak. #JACARDI is a project that gives meaning to shared universal values. #EU4Health #HealthUnion #PublicHealth

Yesterday was World Health Day. Over 600 million Africans lack basic healthcare access, highlighting the significance of real estate developments such as Artemis Curepipe Hospital in Mauritius, successfully developed under the supervision of our Development Manager Nilma Dhooky, and handed over to the operator nearly a year ago. This collaboration achieved new healthcare standards, reflecting our pioneering approach to setting international real estate benchmarks in Africa. Impact investments, such as in healthcare, offer exposure to defensive asset classes with stable growth. Grit aims to deliver sustainable annualised total returns above 12%, underpinned by long-term US Dollar rental streams from high-quality tenants, additional development and asset management revenues, and medium-term increase in property values. We’re very excited to break ground on Artemis Coromandel Hospital later this year – and just like Artemis Curepipe, it will be transformational for medical tourism and the positioning of Mauritius as a regional healthcare hub. #GritAfrica #GREAfrica #HealthcareInvestment #MauritiusHealthcare #MedicalTourism #ImpactInvestment #WorldHealthDay
