Congratulations Earthling! You won the big prize. What prize, you ask? Another spin on this glorious roundabout called Earth. (consistently ranked in the Milky Way’s top 10 most scenic planets. *Source: Galactic Getaways) “But…isn´t that just a normal day?” you ask YES EXACTLY! …but what do you call “Monday morning” is the equivalent of hitting the universal jackpot to many. Especially those who wish they could have just one more day (or those stuck on less scenic planets. Sorry, Alpha Centaurians) So there you go, you lucky duck! You get one another day on this beautiful planet. How are you going to spend your winnings? Life P.S. …and get yourself a slice of this “pizza”-thing that intergalactic travellers rave about. *Article: “Yes, Earthlings are weird, but the pizza!” Earth snags #3 on ‘Wacky Galactic Weekends’ (Source: Galactic Getaways) #mindset #gratitude #newday #monday

How long until we have travel companies taking us to the Moon 🌑 ??? It could be decades away… But society became a small step closer to commercial moon travel last week as Odysseus safely landed on the moon. Odysseus is the first commercial spacecraft to ever land on the moon’s surface… And although it seems to have tipped over upon landing… This still represents a significant step. But will ‘Moon Tourism’ ever really be a concept? And if so, who will take the trip and what will be the purpose? One thing seems to be clear… Space tourism may not be as far away as we think… And when it does happen, will mean a small step for space travel… But a giant leap for the travel and tourism industry.

Beyond shaping tides, the moon exerts a fascinating influence on ocean life. From reproduction to predation, marine ecosystems dance to the rhythms of the lunar phases and the moonlight’s intensity. At Blancpain, where the moon phase stands as one of the most cherished complications, we appreciate the profound impact of the moon on the underwater world. https://lnkd.in/eXZWWpEh #Blancpain1735 #BlancpainOceanCommitment

Voyager 1 is back! Kind of... The issue seems to be a lucky coincidence too, since it basically dumps all of the code and config variables and data from the faulty Flight Data Subsystem (FDS) to us. Voyager mission team hopes this will help them chase the issue and fix it. However Voyager 1 is at the end with its power source and soon it will become a silent messenger announcing to the entire universe we exist. Or perhaps existed - at the current speed, if it was directed to the closest star, Proxima Centauri, it would take around 73775 years to reach it. It is actually directed to the constellation Ophiuchus, but like other constellations, the stars we see from Earth are actually at sometimes quite different distances from us so there is no point in estimating when Voyager 1 will reach that constellation. For comparison, according to the current knowledge, the ancestors of Asian, American and European population left Africa some 70 - 80 thousand years ago and spread through other continents. So who knows if we as the species would still exist 70 thousand years in the future, and if we would, would our descendants care where Voyager 1 and 2 are, or even know we sent them at all? https://lnkd.in/dh6mC55k

How to know you're exactly in the subacromial "space": stop injecting and the fluid dissipates. If it stays accumulated, you are elsewhere, but not in the target area. Quite significant when doing HA.. #mskus #mskrad #passion Paracelsus Kliniken

SPACE TOURISM Space tourism is another niche segment of the aviation industry that seeks to give tourists the ability to become astronauts and experience space travel for recreational, leisure, or business purposes. Since space tourism is extremely expensive, it is a case of a very small segment of consumers that are able and willing to purchase a space experience. There are several options for space tourists. For example, Crouch et al. investigate the choice behaviour between four types of space tourism: high altitude jet fighter flights, atmospheric zero-gravity flights, short-duration suborbital flights, and longer duration orbital trips into space. Reddy et al. (2012) find the following motivational factors behind space tourism: vision of earth from space, weightlessness, high speed experience, unusual experience, and scientific contribution. Currently, only high-altitude jet fighter flights and atmospheric zero-gravity flights are commercially available to tourists in the space tourism sector. Accordingly, this section provides an example of each, whilst the potential for suborbital and longer duration orbital trips into space are discussed later in this chapter. #snsinstitutions #snsdesignthinker #snsdesingthinking
