This is a serious problem nationwide. Most Black leaders are ineffective and exhibit cowardly dispositions when Black People ask to demand change and for action to be taken by the higher powers of governance who hold the purse strings for improving economic opportunities, true justice and the dispensation of our tax dollars back into our neighborhoods. Black politicians should never fear anyone and be afraid to oppose their White colleagues when it’s clearly evident that racism, injustice, and economic disparities still exist. There should be more action and a demand for the improvement in every aspect of Black American life especially in our inner cities but we’re being devalued and ignored daily as the gentrified theft of our communities takes place and more and more of us are being shut out of the mainstream of economic development and business, and denied economic and social justice when we’re trying to improve and make progress to better our lives. Our Black public servants and lawyers need to be fearless and never betray their own people. They know our history and what all of us go through, so who else are we to call upon for the justice and equality that they also pledge to deliver when there is no justice and equality being served by Whites and Black public servants who act to maintain the status quo? - #BlackLinkedIn

Racism comes in many forms, sometimes it’s subconsciously done such as patronisation based on one’s inherent beliefs that other people of different ethnicity cannot offer logical solutions to life’s problems, sometimes it’s about a lack of tolerance to listen based on racial prejudice, and sometimes it’s a case of mental segregation based on societal learnt behaviours. Need I say I’m fortunate enough to say I’ve faced racism on a handful of occasions, so my optimism in a more kinder and gentle collective mankind outweighs my mini scepticism of the worst kind of humanity. I am hardly vocal about such issues because these are complex and hard topics (which sometimes need to be had for a more open understanding of the issues), but I’ve come to realise that this should not be hard topic, because humanity should be based on one fundamental principle, LOVE for your fellow human beings.
Monday's Remember Slavery Day is an opportunity to pay tribute to those who suffered and resisted oppression. It also allows us to reinforce our determination to #FightRacism, which remains a legacy of one of the darkest chapters in human history. "Descendants of enslaved Africans and people of African descent are still fighting for equal rights and freedoms around the world”, said UN Secretary General António Guterres. “Today and every day, we reject the legacy of this horrific crime against humanity.” Join us in honouring the victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade by advocating for equality and justice for all. https://lnkd.in/eKVNaF8T

Today, as we mark Monday's Remember Slavery Day, let us pause to pay tribute to the resilience and resistance of those who endured unfathomable suffering and oppression. It's a solemn reminder of one of humanity's darkest chapters. Remembering the struggles of the past isn't just about acknowledging history; it's about reaffirming our commitment to #FightRacism in all its forms. The legacy of slavery continues to reverberate, reminding us of the urgent need for justice and equality. UN Secretary General António Guterres poignantly stated, "Descendants of enslaved Africans and people of African descent are still fighting for equal rights and freedoms around the world.” Their ongoing struggle underscores the enduring impact of this horrific crime against humanity. Let us use this day to reflect on the progress made, but also to acknowledge the work that still lies ahead. Together, we can build a world where every individual is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their race or background. #RememberSlavery #FightRacism #EqualityForAll

Days like this bring the most powerful force of division and hatred into our consciousness. As much as Global and Regional institutions have initiated structures to break patterns of racism, the world is still far behind in decolonising racial knowledge. For instance, how do high-school students embrace race-driven modules? How have we divided the world? How do we frame geographical terms describing the world? But as the world move forward with a renewed motivation, I believe we can comprehensively push back the forces of racism and its mutating patterns.

Three individuals have made threats or attempted to assassinate Donald Trump: Michael Steven Sandford, Thomas Matthew Crooks, and Michael W. Wiseman. Notably, none of them were "illegal aliens" or "Muslim terrorists." They were not released from mental institutions in Africa, and they did not cross the southern border illegally. Racism and xenophobia are rooted in falsehoods and prejudices. The enemy is not solely external, but also internal. Good and evil exist within every race, religion, and nationality. History shows that progress is possible, as seen in the acceptance of Italians and Irish people in the US. Let us focus on our common humanity and recognize that diversity enriches our communities. By opening our hearts and minds, we can create a more inclusive and compassionate world. The true enemy is not our differences, but our inability to see the goodness in each other. Let's choose understanding, compassion, and love over fear and hatred. #CommonHumanity #Inclusion #Compassion #LoveOverFear #ProgressOverPrejudice

Most Americans do not understand or accept Quaker Universalists. Quaker universalism is pacifism and is a religion. Since the 1660s, when English Quakers decided to abstain from wars, Quakers have used non-violence as a powerful tool for seeking peaceful solutions to conflict. This doesn't mean that Quakers are passive in situations of injustice. Instead, Quakers resist with nonviolent tools rather than outward weapons. https://lnkd.in/gBfd3u7V.
