This crucial event, hosted by the Government of Tanzania, the African Union, the African Development Bank Group, and the World Bank Group, is focused on providing electricity to 300 million people across Africa by 2030. As someone with extensive experience in microfinance and climate-related financing, I firmly believe that microfinance institutions play a pivotal role in driving energy access by offering tailored financial solutions for renewable energy adoption in underserved communities. Critical issues on board! Thanks to AfDB for being consistent over the years with Dr. Adesina's leadership. Now moving to governance, a general rule will go a long waymoving Africa forward in a pace. This is the task for all stakeholders of #Afcfta and developing partners. More efforts will be needed to support the private sector because, getting funds at low interest rate is just the first step to embark on visionary projects. However, providing enabling environment involves free access to affordable energy, logistics to the market, low inflation to reduce the cost of doing business, and of course, the rules of engagement must be transparent, free and fair.
