Each of these past presidents of the AfDB played significant roles in the institution’s growth and development, although they faced various challenges ranging from financial difficulties to internal governance issues. Despite these hurdles, they contributed to the AfDB’s mission of promoting sustainable economic growth and reducing poverty in Africa. I commend them for their contributions. The current and future leaders of the Bank should make it a point of duty to study the contributions of each of them. There's so much to learn from their achievements and pitfalls.

The article "The Bank at 60: Six Decades of Driving Sustainable Economic Growth in Africa - 1964-2024" shows that the Bank's journey since its inception (60 years) reflects a story of resilience, adaptability, and commitment to Africa's economic development. Its focus on critical sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture, energy, and human capital development, alongside its response to global crises and innovations in financing, has positioned it as a pivotal institution in shaping Africa’s future. As the Bank moves forward, its emphasis on green growth, sustainability, and regional integration will remain central to driving Africa’s economic transformation. No doubt, the Bank has made huge impacts, and the potentials for the future are even much more!

Mamoun Beheiry (Sudan) Tenure: November 1967 - August 1970 Achievements: 1. Founding Leadership: Beheiry was the AfDB’s first president, playing a key role in establishing the institution’s foundations. 2. Initial Project Financing: Under his leadership, the AfDB financed its first set of projects, which focused on agriculture, infrastructure, and social development in newly independent African nations. Challenges: 1. Foundational Challenges: As the first president, Beheiry faced the immense task of setting up a continental development bank in a newly decolonized and politically unstable Africa. 2. Limited Resources: In its early years, the AfDB had limited financial resources and was heavily reliant on contributions from member states.

Although it's very much in place to congratulate the Bank for 60 years of existence, should we not in the same vein enquire about the extent to which it has delivered its LEADING OBJECTIVE as stated in 1964- To Promote Sustainable Economic Growth and Reduce Poverty in Africa- as available historical data in 1990, quarter century after its formation put poverty level at 90% (% under $5.50 per day) which was only very marginally reduced to 87.30% in 2019?? Naturally, on the basis of the above figures, the jury should certainly be out on this claim: "Six decades later, we are proud to say that we are still #MakingADifference" The submission is, until there is a radical change of the failed development paradigms of the past 60 years to that of the People-Centred SHARED PROSPERITY paradigm, the Continent remains doomed Viva Africa 🌍

African Development Bank Group 🚨The Project will be 80€Billions value in the market , how a new era of planetary renewal will work with the implementation of Hazacom technology. This project can become possible and viable because there is exclusive control over a technology that can double global agricultural production capacity. Logistics will be optimized, decentralized, fast, with very low maintenance costs, allowing for the delivery of food. Thanks to the innovative fertilization technology, accompanied by the benefits that superfoods will bring to the health of man and the planet, they will form a tripod that consolidates one of the most audacious projects for the complete recovery of life on the planet. Planting trees in the desert will finally be possible. The Sahara Desert would have the capacity to generate 10 billion dollars per cycle just from the profit on the green area, without considering all the food production that can be used from the natural conditioning of the area. Congrats 👏🎉🥳 but it feels like it's a west African organization, a groupie club than an actual African institution with Africa at heart. Like Fifa is to Europe
